A little history...
Born in England, to an English family, and to British culture, I have always been around British traditions. Then, after only 3 years living there as a toddler, my parents, my 2 months old sister and I moved to France, in which we lived for 9 years. While living there, I picked up French customs and became fluent in the language, thanks to being enrolled in a french school and education. After France, we all moved again, this time to the Netherlands, which was an amazing fresh new start for me. In the Netherlands is where my artistic life began. I picked up drumming and played with a small band, I developed musical tastes in all genres ranging from Electronic to Jazz, and Rock to Funk. I started to become interested in photography, always asking my mum to lend me her camera. Only after two short years of being a British kid in a French school in Holland, we had to move again! This time, to my surprise, it was somewhere completely new, exciting and scary: China. Having never left Europe before, this seemed like quite an adventure. The time came when we had to leave Holland (with a tear in my eye), not realizing just how much China would change my life.
We moved to Beijing, a brilliant and vibrant city, which I had only seen on TV and that was now on my doorstep. I was enrolled into the IB (International Baccalaureate), in an international school. This school, Western Academy of Beijing, was like nothing I'd seen before. It really opened my eyes as to what could be achieved so far away from home.
Luckily for me, WAB offered Film Studies, and many other courses of my interest. I have now been doing Film Studies at WAB for 2 years, and am now embarking on the 3rd year as a 12th grade student. And I haven't looked back.

Why?
Because. But seriously, why create this?

For a while I've been wanting somewhere to put all my work in one place, for everyone to see. I thought that this would be the nicest and easiest way to do so.
It is also a way for me to possibly see how far I've come since my involvement with film, or to see how I am progressing.

As a grade 12 student, it is time for me to apply for University. As I am applying to art and/ or film schools, a portfolio or 'proof' is often required. I thought what better way to send people snippets of my work in an easy and simple manner. Instead of extensive video sending, or picture sharing, all my work is here, in one place.
